About The Position

The Alinea Group is looking for a full-time BOH Porter to join our team! The BOH Porter is an important part of the team that promotes high sanitation standards by maintaining the cleanliness of all equipment for our guests. This is a full-time position paid hourly. Candidates must be willing to work five days a week (40+ hours per week), but open availability is preferred.

Requirements

• 1 or more year experience of dishwashing or comparable position
• Ability to operate dish machines, cleaning tools and other required equipment safely
• Ability to follow instructions, anticipate needs, and multitask
• Can work individually and within a team environment
• Must be able to work on your feet for at least 8 hours
• Must be able to move, pull or lift at least 35 pounds
• Must be able to climb stairs multiple times per shift
• Must be eligible to legally work in the United States. We use E-Verify.

Responsibilities

• Stocks, cleans, polishes, and maintains equipment and tableware for service, including dishware, utensils, and interior decor
• Operates dish machine, cleaning tools, and other equipment with precision and accuracy
• Quickly and safely polishes and restocks a wide variety of plate ware
• Works closely with back-of-house staff to remedy any immediate needs during service
• Reports any maintenance deficiencies to the appropriate resource
• Sweep, vacuum, and mop floors/carpets; remove garbage to compactors or recycling bins
• Maintain general cleanliness of dining rooms, kitchens, restrooms and outside areas
• Other duties as assigned by management
