About The Position

GDIT is seeking a BOE Solution Architect SME to join our Strategic Estimation team, part of OCTO, Office of the Chief Technology Officer of GDIT. We link engineering decisions to mission outcomes and provide a range of core offerings, including BOE Leadership, Independent BOE’s, Technology / Estimation SME support, AI-Enabled Estimation, GDIT Metrics, Industry Benchmarks, Parametric Models, BOE/Rationale Reviews, and more. We support our highest priority and cutting-edge technical opportunities across all GDIT divisions with BOE / Estimation / Solutioning expertise. MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT: Partner with programs, solution architects and other business stakeholders to understand BOE / Estimation / Solution needs and provide expertise, recommendations and artifacts that support high-priority efforts Provide BOE Leadership and support, which includes end-to-end BOE development throughout the lifecycle, including Staffing Rationale, Models and more Shape technology mission delivery by providing high-quality BOE and Solutioning artifacts Provide estimation and solutioning support on large and complex proposals, by providing metrics, recommending technical solutioning, estimating staffing, providing data models, parametric models and analogous metric program data using data analysis, automation and AI tools. Use internal metrics, and SEER-IT or similar industry benchmark models to provide metric data. Estimate staffing for large complex IT programs and modernization efforts using various estimation methodologies and backed with industry benchmark metric data Provide technology solutioning expertise to Solution Architects working on these efforts, to inform strong solutioning and estimation decisions, aligned to customer mission Responsible for working across all divisions, bringing expertise to inform solutions for Defense, Intel, Federal Civilian and Federal Health customers Models: Oversee, build and deploy predictive models using machine learning techniques (e.g. regression, classification, clustering), working with our technology experts/engineers. Evaluate model performance, iterate improvements, and ensure model reliability. Collaborate with engineers to integrate models into production systems and gather metric performance feedback. Provide data-backed recommendations to inform strategic decision-making and optimize business processes. Develop compelling data visualizations and PowerPoint slides to communicate findings to technical and non-technical audiences. Lead and support AI, data-driven and automation processes and improvements and support metrics gathering and analysis; help drive further adoption and use of AI tools across the business Use M365, Teams, Kanban, Scrums and other Agile methodology, along with AI tools, to drive progress and find efficiencies; Research industry trends in data metrics analysis and tools, AI and scripting tools and collaborate with others to implement approved recommendations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in STEM-related field (IT, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Engineering, etc.) or Business degree. In lieu of degree, equivalent combination of work experience, certification, and training may be considered.
  • 15+ Years of related work experience
  • 5+ Years Experience in Program Management or Technical delivery on DoW, Intel and other federal programs – large complex Enterprise IT Solutions (AI, data, data centers, cloud, networks, quantum, etc.)
  • 3+ years experience as a Solution Architect related to Enterprise IT Technology
  • Experience in Staffing Estimation for large complex, Enterprise IT programs, including Basis of Estimate (BOE), Staffing Rationale and related documents
  • Depth of experience with Excel, data analysis, building/using parametric models and with migrating data into useful formats for analysis, use and reporting
  • Excellent Experience w/ SharePoint, Salesforce and using AI tools (ChatGPT, etc.)
  • Good leadership, communication and mentorship skills; ability to work collaboratively with others at all levels, contribute to a positive team and company culture, creatively problem solve, and on tackling IT challenges
  • Strong skills in: Collaboration, Learning and Adapting, Strategy; Strong Oral and written communication, critical thinking, and creative problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to write clearly and precisely and with meticulous attention to detail
  • Strong experience with: MS Office Suite (M365, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
  • US Citizenship required
  • Must have an active Secret in order to be considered and ability to obtain TS after hired (or higher Clearance in future if required)

Nice To Haves

  • ITIL Certification, a Process-related certification, or a certification in Project/Program Management
  • Technical certifications highly preferred
