About The Position

As part of the Open Road Collision group, doing business as 1st Choice Collision, the Body Technician performs collision repairs intended to restore vehicles to pre-accident condition while supporting a smooth customer repair experience. The role follows repair orders and manufacturer and industry standards, using shop equipment and materials safely and efficiently. Work takes place within a blueprint-style production model, where the technician may not personally disassemble vehicles. Requirements

At least 1 year of collision repair experience.
Strong ability to analyze and interpret repair data and measurements.
Valid driver's license and ability to legally operate vehicles.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Positive, dependable, and customer-focused mindset.
Proficiency with standard shop tools and safety procedures.

Nice To Haves

I-CAR certification in body repair and welding.
OEM certification and knowledge of manufacturer repair processes.

Responsibilities

Perform vehicle repairs specified in repair orders and follow manufacturer and industry standards.
Communicate repair progress and requirements to team members.
Complete welding, frame and unibody alignment, body panel repairs, and cosmetic work.
Operate frame machines and other shop equipment safely and efficiently.
Follow safety protocols, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Conduct quality control inspections when work is complete.
Mix chemicals and materials according to manufacturer specifications.
Work within a blueprint-style production model, which may mean not personally disassembling vehicles.
