About The Position
This is a work-study program designed to provide hands-on experience in a body shop environment. The program is structured over several weeks, with different focuses each period, including quality control, parts management, body repair, paint and refinishing, and office/estimating tasks. Participants will shadow and work alongside experienced technicians and staff.
Requirements
- Must be enrolled in the Body Shop Work Study Program at Vantage Career Center.
Responsibilities
- Inspect vehicles, check lights, paint finish, and body fitment.
- Wash and detail vehicles for delivery.
- Move vehicles within the lot.
- Sort, pull, and deliver parts to technicians.
- Open boxes to match parts with vehicles.
- Sort parts for return.
- Shadow and work with a veteran body technician.
- Shadow and work with a veteran paint technician.
- Prepare and reconcile estimates.
- Order parts.
- Interact with customers.
