The Body Shop Technician is able to repair vehicle bodies and straighten vehicle frames both steel and aluminum repair as well as fiber glass repairs; correcting vehicle deficiencies; making adjustments and alignments in the Body Shop Department of a retail dealership environment. This role focuses on High Leverage Activities (HLAs) which are actions that will return the highest impact. The technician determines vehicle condition by conducting inspections and diagnostic tests, identifying worn and damaged parts with a focus on safety, quality, and customer uptime. They correct vehicle deficiencies by removing, repairing, adjusting, overhauling, assembling, disassembling, and replacing major assemblies, sub-assemblies, components, parts, or systems. This includes correcting non-structural and structural damage, and requires proficiency in welding, cutting, plastic repair, fiberglass repair, and minor mechanical and electrical repair.
