About The Position

Shottenkirk Honda of Rome is seeking a Body Shop Technician. Shottenkirk Automotive Group is a family-owned business with over 60 years of experience, operating 27 dealerships in 6 states and employing over 2,500 people. The Body Shop Technician will be responsible for repairing vehicle bodies, including minor dent hammering, windshield replacement, panel painting, paint correction, and complete rebuilds. Additionally, technicians will handle body customization and minor repairs such as buffing out scratches or refurbishing corrosion damage.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 5+ years body work experience required
• Experience with collision repair and vehicle body work
• Experience with body filler, sanding, and surface preparation
• Experience with body preparation, painting, sanding, clear coating required
• Familiarity with structural and non structural repairs
• Ability to properly disassemble and reassemble vehicles
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Clean driving record & valid driver’s license
• Must be able to supply your own tools, supplies will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Determine and repair damaged parts
• Communicate status of repairs clearly to General Manager
• Communicate with parts department to obtain necessary parts
• Document all repairs performed
• Document all materials used
• Maintain work area in a clean and orderly manner
• Follow all company safety procedures
• Understand and follow federal, state, and local regulations such as the disposal of hazardous waste
