About The Position

Jerry Seiner Collision Center is looking for an Apprentice Auto Body Technician to join their team. This role is ideal for individuals with some hands-on experience in auto body or collision repair who are eager to advance their skills. The apprentice will work alongside experienced technicians in a professional, well-equipped collision center, gaining valuable experience in repairing damaged vehicles and learning proper factory and dealership repair procedures.

Requirements

Some previous experience in auto body, collision repair, or automotive repair
Basic understanding of vehicle body repair and shop safety
Comfortable using basic hand and power tools
Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced technicians
Strong attention to detail and pride in your work
Dependable, hardworking, and team-oriented
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
Ability to pass required background and drug screening

Nice To Haves

Automotive school or collision repair training is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

Assist experienced Auto Body Technicians with collision repairs
Learn and perform basic repairs and replacement of damaged body panels and components
Assist with vehicle tear-downs and reassembly
Learn proper repair procedures and manufacturer specifications
Use hand, hydraulic, and pneumatic tools safely and properly
Assist with welding, cutting, sanding, and other repair processes as trained
Help prepare vehicles for the next stage of the repair process
Keep your work area clean, organized, and safe
Work efficiently while maintaining quality and attention to detail
Communicate with technicians and Estimators regarding repair needs
Follow all dealership, factory, and safety procedures
