About The Position

Lithia Chrysler Jeep Dodge of Billings is seeking a Body Shop Paint Technician Assistant. This role involves preparing vehicles and workstations for paint technicians, performing tasks such as masking, taping, washing, color-sanding, polishing, and buffing. The assistant will also be responsible for maintaining a clean work area, using paint materials safely and efficiently, following repair standards, inspecting completed work, and communicating with team members to ensure customer satisfaction. This position offers a competitive pay of $16.00 - $2.00 per hour DOE and a schedule of Monday through Thursday from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm, and Friday from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm.

Requirements

• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work efficiently with a sense of urgency.
• Good communication skills.
• High School graduate or equivalent, 18 years or older required.
• Must be able to work in a drug-free workplace.

Nice To Haves

• Automotive body shop experience is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare workstations, materials, and parts for Paint Technicians.
• Prep, mask, and tape vehicles before painting.
• Wash vehicles before and after paint application.
• Color-sand, polish, and buff vehicles before delivery.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Use paint materials efficiently and safely.
• Follow manufacturer, insurance, and company repair standards.
• Inspect completed work for quality.
• Return tools to their proper locations.
• Communicate with team members to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Report safety concerns and assist with other assigned duties.
