About The Position

Hudson Automotive Group is seeking a skilled Body Shop Manager with a proven record of success to join their growing team. This role involves managing the body shop operations, including staff, budget, marketing, and compliance with regulations. The ideal candidate will be able to assess vehicle damage, estimate repair costs, and oversee the repair process.

Requirements

  • Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment testing to include background checks, MVR, drug test, and possess a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

  • Hires, trains, motivates, counsels, and monitors the performance of body shop staff.
  • Prepares and administers an annual operating budget for the body shop.
  • Develops and implements a marketing plan.
  • Builds and maintains good working relations with insurance adjusters.
  • Understands, keeps abreast of, and complies with federal, state, and local regulations that affect normal operations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know, etc.
  • Examines damaged vehicles to determine the degree of structural and mechanical damage, as well as damage to the bodywork and the insides of the vehicles.
  • Evaluates the cost of labor and parts to repair or replace each damaged part.
  • Reviews repair cost estimates with the body shop foreman.
  • Monitors technicians' daily productivity reports and corresponding payroll records.
