Requirements

  • Several years of hands-on collision repair experience combined with prior supervisory or estimating background.
  • Deep understanding of structural/non-structural repair, refinishing technology, and access to OEM repair databases (like Alldata).
  • CCC1 estimating software.
  • CDK experience.
  • Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution abilities.

Nice To Haves

  • Industry credentials such as I-CAR Professional Development Program designations or ASE collision certifications are strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily shop operations, schedule repair jobs, monitor workflow, and ensure timely vehicle delivery.
  • Write accurate repair estimates and build strong working relationships with insurance adjusters to negotiate claims and supplemental work.
  • Hire, train, motivate, and supervise technicians, painters, and front-office personnel, fostering technical growth and adherence to OEM repair procedures.
  • Conduct final and in-process inspections to verify structural safety and paint perfection, while ensuring strict compliance with OSHA and hazardous waste disposal regulations.
  • Set and manage departmental operating budgets, track productivity, monitor parts consumption, and control accounts receivable to maximize profitability.
  • Address customer inquiries and resolve complaints promptly according to dealership guidelines to foster repeat and referral business.
