About The Position

This is an opportunity to join a high-volume collision center where there’s plenty of work, consistent hours to turn, and a team built for efficiency. Tonkin Collision Center is seeking a Journeyman Painter who takes pride in their work, moves efficiently, and knows how to deliver high-quality finishes in a production environment. The role is built for painters who can move fast, stay accurate, and keep production flowing.

Requirements

• Journeyman-level auto body painting experience required
• Strong color matching and blending skills
• Ability to work in a flat-rate, production environment
• High attention to detail and quality standards
• Reliable, efficient, and team-oriented
• Knowledge of paint systems and refinishing processes
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Have a valid driver's license
• A clean driving record
• Able to pass a criminal background check and drug screen

Responsibilities

• Prep vehicle surfaces, including sanding, masking, and priming
• Perform accurate color matching and blending
• Apply paint, clear coat, and finishes to manufacturer standards
• Inspect completed work to ensure quality and consistency
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of paint booth and workspace
• Follow all safety and environmental procedures
• Coordinate with body techs and estimators for workflow efficiency
• Maintain tools, materials, and equipment
