About The Position

Chuck Nash Chevrolet Buick Inc is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Body Shop Estimator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately assessing vehicle damage, preparing repair estimates, and working closely with customers, technicians, and insurance partners to ensure a smooth and efficient repair process. The ideal candidate is organized, customer-focused, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. The Body Shop Estimator is expected to: Maximize Sales volume and gross profit for the Body Shop Department through efficient and accurate processing of Body Shop estimates Maintain high standards for Customer Satisfaction in the Body Shop department by maximizing efficiency and accuracy in getting work completed as promised Maintain high quality control standards for work completed in the Body Shop Dept. Maintain high standards for Associate Satisfaction in the Body Shop Dept. Protect customer privacy by complying with all directives of company Information Security Program Maintain high ethical standards, work habits, and Customer Satisfaction standards supporting all aspects of our Sonic Creed Card

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years experience in collision estimating.
  • Familiar with CCC Estimating System.
  • 3 Years Experience.

Responsibilities

  • Accurate write up of Body Shop repairs to insure maximum quality control
  • Working with insurance companies and customers to coordinate the most efficient and timely completion of repairs
  • Keep customers informed of status of the repair
  • Daily Monitoring of Body Technician % of completion on all repairs in process
  • Daily Monitoring and tracking of work flow to achieve desired deadlines by Tech’s
  • Coordinate Body Parts needs to designated parts dept associates in an efficient manner to insure availability of parts at the correct time to efficiently complete repairs
  • Working with other Body Shop department manager on daily problem resolution
  • Daily Monitoring of CSI index for current month and taking corrective action for negative results
  • Maintain professionalism in all dealing with Customer and Insurance Company representatives
  • Assist customer in problem and dispute resolution with Insurance company
  • Discuss Daily with Body Shop Mgr. any Parts or Service interface issues that may be negatively impacting goal attainment
  • Provide Quality Control monitoring to insure that end result meets customer and insurance company standards
  • Maintain productive relationships with Preferred Insurance companies to maximize exposure and growth opportunities
  • Schedules responsible for: Open RO report / WIP report Body Shop Receivable Schedule
