About The Position

The Body Shop Estimator is responsible for handling incoming telephone calls, greeting customers, assessing their vehicle needs, writing accurate repair orders and estimates, and managing customer communication throughout the repair process. This role involves utilizing estimating systems, dispatching repair orders, and processing payments upon completion of services. The goal is to ensure customer satisfaction by providing accurate cost and time estimates and clear communication.

  • Basic computer skills
  • Acceptable driving record and a valid driver's license in your state of residence
  • High School graduate or equivalent, 18 years or older required.
  • Must be able to work in a drug-free workplace.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with ProfitNet and ADP systems.
  • Experience with CCC, Mitchell, and Audatex estimating systems.

Responsibilities

  • Answer incoming telephone calls in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Identify, confirm, and offer resolution to customer concerns.
  • Communicate with customers about repair needs, costs, and timelines.
  • Assess customer needs by conducting a vehicle walk around.
  • Attain agreement from customer for repair needs.
  • Write accurate repair orders using ProfitNet and ADP systems.
  • Write accurate Estimates utilizing the three major estimating systems: CCC Mitchell Audatex.
  • Maintain and update production, notes, and repair order detail and production status.
  • Provide estimates that are accurate and support upfront pricing guarantee.
  • Obtain approval to review findings of multi-point inspection and associated prices.
  • Obtain approval to proceed with supplemental repairs.
  • Dispatch repair orders to technicians following department dispatch policy and utilizing cost control methods.
  • Communicate with technicians to gain clear understanding of repairs required and/or performed.
  • Follow-up with customer during repair of the vehicle so they are aware of status.
  • Receive and process cash or credit payment for all services performed.
  • Upon completion of repair, promptly and professionally deliver vehicle to customer.
  • Follow up and collect payments for supplements on the accounts receivable.
