About The Position
Lou Fusz Kia of Columbus is seeking a dependable, motivated, and detail-oriented Body Shop Detailer to join our collision center team. The Body Shop Detailer is responsible for cleaning, detailing, and preparing repaired vehicles for delivery while helping maintain a clean, organized, and professional body shop environment. This position also offers the potential opportunity to enter a Body Shop Apprentice Program in the future for individuals who demonstrate exceptional work ethic, reliability, and a desire to learn the collision repair trade.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to safely operate manual and automatic transmission vehicles
- Strong attention to detail
- Positive attitude and dependable work ethic
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and remain on your feet throughout the workday
Nice To Haves
- Previous automotive detailing experience is preferred but not required—we are willing to train the right candidate.
Responsibilities
- Thoroughly wash, clean, and detail repaired customer vehicles before delivery
- Vacuum and clean vehicle interiors
- Clean windows, wheels, tires, door jambs, and exterior trim
- Perform final quality inspections to ensure vehicles meet dealership presentation standards
- Move vehicles safely throughout the dealership and body shop
- Maintain cleanliness of the body shop, detail area, and customer delivery areas
- Assist technicians and estimators with vehicle preparation as needed
- Monitor detailing supplies and notify management when inventory is low
- Follow all dealership safety policies and manufacturer procedures
- Provide outstanding customer service by ensuring every vehicle is returned in excellent condition
