Requirements

  • Experience with priming, auto bodywork use of hand-held power tools
  • Ability to read and write and understand SDS materials
  • Must have good color vision
  • Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Requires flexibility with schedule including break times as well as working extended hours, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to manage priorities and strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision, work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and have strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work cross functionally with the ability to conduct positive interaction communication, skills and strengths
  • Must have a general knowledge of automobile components
  • High School Diploma/G.E.D
  • 1 year of experience in Bodywork and/or Automotive Painting experience
  • Must hold a valid state-issued driver's license & Clear MVR

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to drive both automatic and straight shift vehicles
  • 2 years of Bodywork and/or Automotive Painting experience

Responsibilities

  • Performing minor automotive body repairs, color, sand and buff, disassemble and reassemble vehicles to factory standards.
  • Sanding, prepping, and taping of vehicle for painting.
  • Wet, sand, buff vehicles after the refinishing process.
  • Buffing and polishing vehicles to remove any imperfections from the factory, as well as attending to VPC runaway vehicles with scratches and overspray.
  • Contribute to the success of the team, assists others, and requests help when needed.
  • Prep, Priming, Detailing and tape of windows, molding, etc for refinishing
  • Wet, Sand, Buff refinished vehicles
  • Ability to remove imperfections from refinished surfaces with 10 micron sand paper
  • Ability to buff with a high speed buffer to remove sand scratches and polish to original finish
  • Disassemble and Reassemble Vehicles
  • Light dent repairs
  • Professionally and courteously interact with all other employees, customers, and truck drivers concerning any defects in finished products
  • Buff vehicle with factory defects
  • Maintain safe working environment and follow all policies and procedures regarding safety
  • Other duties as assigned
