Requirements

Experience with priming, auto bodywork use of hand-held power tools
Ability to read and write and understand SDS materials
Must have good color vision
Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Requires flexibility with schedule including break times as well as working extended hours, weekends, and holidays
Ability to manage priorities and strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
Ability to work with minimal supervision, work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and have strong interpersonal skills
Ability to work cross functionally with the ability to conduct positive interaction communication, skills and strengths
Must have a general knowledge of automobile components
High School Diploma/G.E.D
1 year of experience in Bodywork and/or Automotive Painting experience
Must hold a valid state-issued driver's license & Clear MVR

Nice To Haves

Ability to drive both automatic and straight shift vehicles
2 years of Bodywork and/or Automotive Painting experience

Responsibilities

Performing minor automotive body repairs, color, sand and buff, disassemble and reassemble vehicles to factory standards.
Sanding, prepping, and taping of vehicle for painting.
Wet, sand, buff vehicles after the refinishing process.
Buffing and polishing vehicles to remove any imperfections from the factory, as well as attending to VPC runaway vehicles with scratches and overspray.
Contribute to the success of the team, assists others, and requests help when needed.
Prep, Priming, Detailing and tape of windows, molding, etc for refinishing
Wet, Sand, Buff refinished vehicles
Ability to remove imperfections from refinished surfaces with 10 micron sand paper
Ability to buff with a high speed buffer to remove sand scratches and polish to original finish
Disassemble and Reassemble Vehicles
Light dent repairs
Professionally and courteously interact with all other employees, customers, and truck drivers concerning any defects in finished products
Buff vehicle with factory defects
Maintain safe working environment and follow all policies and procedures regarding safety
Other duties as assigned
