If you're motivated, enjoy working with your hands, and want to build a long-term career in the commercial truck industry, our Body Shop Apprentice position is the perfect place to start. As a Body Shop Apprentice, you'll work side-by-side with experienced Body Shop Technicians, learning the skills needed to repair and restore commercial trucks and buses. Through hands-on training and mentorship, you'll gain experience in collision repair, structural repairs, vehicle refinishing, welding, and manufacturer repair procedures while building a rewarding career with one of the premier commercial truck dealerships in the West.
Requirements
- Has a strong work ethic and a desire to learn a skilled trade.
- Enjoys working with their hands and solving mechanical challenges.
- Has an interest in collision repair, painting, welding, or vehicle restoration.
- Is dependable, safety-minded, and eager to learn from experienced professionals.
- Works well as part of a team and takes pride in quality workmanship.
- Has a valid driver's license.
Nice To Haves
- Previous automotive, body shop, construction, fabrication, or vocational school experience is a plus—but we're willing to train the right candidate!
Responsibilities
- Assist experienced technicians with vehicle disassembly, reassembly, and collision repairs.
- Learn body panel replacement, dent repair, structural repairs, and refinishing preparation.
- Prepare vehicles for painting by sanding, masking, cleaning, and priming surfaces.
- Perform detailing and final vehicle preparation before customer delivery.
- Safely operate shop tools and equipment while maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
- Participate in manufacturer and company training programs to build your technical skills.
- Follow all safety procedures and quality standards while supporting the Body Shop team.
