About The Position

Temporary position for 12 months. As a property and casualty insurance claims advisor, you help serve and maintain business relationships with members and clients for all claims. You handle bodily injury claims. You investigate, assess, negotiate and resolve claims. You solve problems using your analytical skills and extensive discipline-specific knowledge. You draw on your sound decision-making to develop solutions, negotiate claims settlements and enter into agreements with members, clients, third parties and others. You advise and assist clients, represent Desjardins and enter the organization into important agreements with clients. Interpersonal savvy is therefore essential.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field
• A minimum of three years of relevant experience

Responsibilities

• Conduct coverage and liability investigations
• Analyze medical, financial and job information to assess claim valuations
• Settle claims in accordance with the organization’s standards, policies and quality commitments as well as the contract terms.
• Meet deadlines to ensure client satisfaction
• Negotiate with all parties involved to ensure smooth claims processing.
