About The Position

The primary purpose of this job is to deliver bulk fuel orders to customers. This is a very important customer service role as this position connects the truck and fuel product to the customer. When this job is done well, it significantly contributes to Pratum Co-op’s overall mission: an agricultural cooperative dedicated to innovative solutions, excellent service, and long-term relationships.

Requirements

Must hold a Class A or B commercial driver’s license with the ability and willingness to obtain tanker and hazmat endorsements soon after start date.
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen

Nice To Haves

Class A CDL is preferred
Minimum one-year experience driving a tanker truck is preferred
Able to drive truck off road, and on roads that are narrow and have steep inclines
Able to properly install tire chains in snowy, icy and muddy conditions

Responsibilities

Safely drive loaded and empty tanker trucks of various sizes, make/models and configurations, primarily straight trucks (bobtails).
Perform proper pre and post trip truck and trailer inspections.
Properly load and unload; handling, hooking and unhooking hoses.
Operate pumps and valves for loading and unloading, both on and off the truck.
Safely fill tanks of all types and sizes using various size hoses, nozzles, and fittings, utilizing pipe wrenches, and other hand tools as needed.
Accurately complete driver logs, pre and post trip forms, invoices, and other paperwork as required.
Comply with federal DOT, State, and company policies, procedures, and regulations; maintain familiarity with the employee personnel manual.
