About The Position
During our peak season, March through August, we need your help in creating remarkable member experiences on the water. If you are someone who loves being outdoors and near the water and working in an upbeat, fun team environment, we want to hear from you! As part of the talented Freedom Boat Club operations team, the Boatcierge greets, anticipates needs, and suggests local attractions for members to enjoy a hassle-free day on the water. We are looking for customer-focused friendly and upbeat individuals. This position is temporary and seasonal (ends in August/September) and requires availability on weekdays, weekends, and holidays. At Brunswick, we have passion for our work and a distinct ability to deliver.
Requirements
- Pass a background check and drug screen
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Ability to read and manipulate handheld tablets and communicate via phone
- Availability to work regularly weekdays, weekends and holidays
- Ability to adhere to all safety policies
Nice To Haves
- Experience in or around boats
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to maintain a calm, positive attitude during periods of high activity
- Positive, cooperative attitude with the capability of working unsupervised
Responsibilities
- Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards
- Anticipate and address guests’ service needs
- Thank guests with genuine appreciation
- Make and answer telephone calls using appropriate etiquette
- Navigate the reservation system via handheld tablet
- Complete daily clerical work to prepare reservation system, fuel logs and weather reports
- Familiarize yourself with local waters in order to provide basic guidance to members
- Speak with others using clear and professional language
- Support the team to reach common goals
- Ensure your uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional
- Follow all company policies and procedures
- Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information
- Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors
