About The Position
Possess an in-depth knowledge of boats and an operational knowledge of propulsion and electrical systems. Able to perform maintenance and repair of small boats to include engine installations, electronics installs and outdrive replacements. Have the ability to trouble shoot and repair vessels within a specific work package. Candidate must demonstrate strong problem �solving skills, be able to work independent and be organized.
Requirements
- In-depth knowledge of boats
- Operational knowledge of propulsion and electrical systems
- Experience with different 12v and 24v electrical systems (engine monitoring systems, navigation, radar, and communication systems, etc.)
- Able to read drawings and effectively work to NAVSEA standards
- Knowledge of multiple different driveline configurations and components (inboard / outboard, sterndrives, jet drives and full outboard)
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Able to work independently
- Organized
- U.S. citizenship required
- Must be able to meet and maintain eligibility for U.S. Secret Clearance and/or be able to access military facilities, naval shipyards, and private shipyards
