About The Position
Culver Academies is a private boarding school seeking diverse talent to support its mission and enrich its learning environment. Located on the shore of Lake Maxinkuckee in Culver, Indiana, the campus spans 1,800 acres with historic Gothic buildings. The organization is looking to strengthen its leadership by adding staff passionate about serving students.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid Indiana driver's license with a good driving record
- Physical capability to perform duties including bending, stooping, lifting and carrying a minimum of fifty pounds, climbing stairs, ladders, and masts
- Ability to swim
- Ability to work in confined spaces
- Ability to tolerate working in inclement weather

- Previous vocational and mechanical training
Responsibilities
- Performing general maintenance and preventative maintenance on Academy owned boats, boat hoists, and piers.
- Painting boats and piers.
- Repairing masts.
- Repairing hoists.
- Routine mechanical maintenance of boats such as tune-ups, oil changes, and propel and shaft replacement.
