Long Lake Marina is seeking a Boat Sales Specialist to help customers find the right boat for their lifestyle. About Long Lake Marina Located in the heart of southern Maine’s Sebago Lakes Region, Long Lake Marina combines state-of-the-art storage and rigging facilities with dedicated service and rigging professionals. We provide exceptional customer support throughout the sales process and long after delivery. About the Role As a Boat Sales Specialist, you will often be a customer’s first point of contact. You will make a positive, lasting impression, learn how each customer plans to use their boat, and guide them toward an option that fits their boating location, family, interests, and budget. Our approach is friendly and consultative, with an emphasis on lasting customer relationships.

Requirements

  • Strong customer service, communication, and phone skills.
  • Excellent organization and the ability to manage customer follow-up using provided technology.
  • A self-motivated, goal-oriented approach and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • A friendly, approachable demeanor, patience, and a commitment to building lasting customer relationships.
  • Basic computer proficiency and a willingness to learn the dealership’s systems and products.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous sales experience, ideally in the automotive or marine industry.
  • Sales experience preferred, but not required.
  • Experience with Salesforce, Microsoft, dealer management systems such as Lightspeed, Dockmaster, IDS, etc.
  • Editing and filming experience for video participation.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome customers, understand their needs, and explain boat features and options clearly.
  • Guide customers through the sales process with patience, professionalism, and consistent follow-through.
  • Use the provided customer relationship management (CRM) system (Salesforce) to document interactions, track prospects, and maintain regular follow-up.
  • Develop product knowledge through research and on-the-job training, and use that knowledge to help customers make informed decisions.
  • Communicate and collaborate with management, finance and insurance (F&I), and the rigging and service departments to support a smooth customer experience.
  • Travel to industry trade training and trade shows and assist with event setup as needed. We attend several shows a year, and overnight travel is required.
  • Participate in videos and commercials with the marketing team. This includes being on camera, editing and filming are not required but would be a massive benefit.
