About The Position

The finish department works to give the boat its finished status by installing internal components, such as plumbing and wiring, and external components such as trolling motors, depth finders, and motors.

Requirements

  • Must be able to install and rig consoles in all boats to meet variable production goals.
  • Must know the difference in consoles for each model.
  • Must be able to communicate with the Finish Supervisor regarding the delivery of consoles and kits.
  • Must be able to acquire certification for forklift, crane, and tractor operations.
  • Must be able to build appropriate consoles depending on motor type and boat model, and wire panels, switches, and lights in the console.
  • Must be able to detect and fix errors on the console, including errors in fiberglass and paint, before working on the console or once it is installed.
  • Must be able to derig and repair consoles for warranty or for paint.
  • Must attend and be attentive to training and continuing education.
  • Must review work orders and any other documentation to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Must take time to do things correctly the first time and proactively identify potential issues before they become problems.
  • Must follow all lawful safety and health rules and regulations, and wear or use prescribed protective equipment while working.
  • Must report hazardous conditions and any job-related injury or illness immediately to management.
