About The Position

The Boat Laminatior removes air from wet glass using a brush and/or roller and applies layers of wet glass in various applications. The role also installs different parts before glass work, cuts patterns, rolls fiberglass, uses resin and putty, installs boxes, foam tanks and stringers, grinds out small imperfections, and performs general housekeeping. Work is performed under general supervision using established procedures, with occasional independent judgment to complete assignments and opportunities to recommend improvements to work procedures, policies, and practices.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work with a team.
• Ability to use drills and a hand sander.
• Ability to follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Remove air from wet glass using a brush and/or roller.
• Apply layers of wet glass in different applications.
• Install parts before glass work.
• Perform pattern cutting and roll fiberglass.
• Use resin and putty properly.
• Install boxes, foam tanks, and stringers.
• Grind out small imperfections.
• Perform general housekeeping.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
