About The Position

The Board Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of process, storage, loading, and unloading systems at a mixed natural gas liquids fractionation or cryogenic facility. The role uses electronic, computerized, or manual control systems to monitor and regulate facility operations and maintain product purity and operating efficiency within design parameters. The position is located in Orla, Texas, and requires 12-hour shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Valid driver’s license.
Must pass a drug test and background check.
Must be able to work 12-hour shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Developing knowledge of process controls and automation, equipment monitoring, systems analysis, communication, safety, mechanical concepts, attention to detail, digital literacy, and quality control analysis.

Nice To Haves

Prior Board Operator experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Constantly monitor instrument control panels and adjust controls to regulate pressures, flow rates, temperatures, and fluid levels as needed.
Oversee, read, and maintain equipment that controls product temperature and flow.
Monitor gauges, inspect product, troubleshoot issues, and perform routine maintenance.
Record data from equipment readings.
Upon qualification, issue and monitor safe work permits.
Demonstrate working knowledge of the Gas Plant Operator job.
Operate in compliance with Process Safety Management (PSM) regulations and environmental permit requirements.
