About The Position

CUMULUS MEDIA | Little Rock is offering a great opportunity as a Part-Time Board Operator/On Air Host providing programming and control console support. Our ideal candidate should be highly organized with the ability to work in a fast-paced media environment. The position requires extreme reliability and flexibility. Requirements

• Ability to learn FCC rules and regulations and EAS guidelines
• On-Air experience with successful ratings history required
• Socially informed and perceptive; up-to-date and in tune daily with the local and national trends and/or specialized knowledge of topics/events related to on-air discussions
• Pleasant, charismatic and well-controlled voice; excellent pronunciation
• Flexibility in scheduling required; majority of the hours are in the evenings, weekends and holidays

Nice To Haves

• Previous control console operation experience preferred
• Audio production skills preferred
• Proficient using computer systems such as Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Audition or other audio editing software preferred
• Familiar with audio mixers preferred
• Strong production skills and knowledge of Op X, VOX Pro/Adobe Audition and Audacity, Reaper, and Ocean is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Running the console in a radio station control room broadcasting a variety of live or pre-recorded local and syndicated entertainment programs
• Playing all commercials as scheduled and maintaining a commercial and transmitter log
• Monitors and updates weather, traffic, and news reports
• Monitor for EAS Alerts, Ambers Alerts and breaking news
• Monitors the technical quality and accuracy of incoming and outgoing on-air programming from master control room
• Conduct live and voice-tracked air shifts as needed per the Program Director
• Great with phones/interacting with callers, interviewing artists/guests and hosting live events
• Connect with listeners via phones, social, video, web and on-site
• Daily social media engagement; website and digital content generation
• Participates in station Programming, Promotions, and Sales meetings and events
• Performs additional duties as specified by Program Director
