About The Position

AHRC New York City is seeking a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) for two of its Preschool locations. The BCBA will be responsible for ensuring the quality and consistency of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services across AHRC’s preschools. This involves training and supervising staff, implementing outcome measures, and participating in educational planning meetings. The primary work location is the Howard Haber ELC in the Bronx, with secondary support needed at the Esther Ashkenas ELC in Manhattan and the Astoria Blue Feather ELC. This is a 10-month program with an optional 30-day summer session.

Requirements

  • Masters in Special Education, Social Work or related Human Services field.
  • BCBA Certification required.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in providing and/or supervising ABA service programs and staff.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise development and implementation of ABA services in agency's programs to ensure overall quality and consistency in service provision.
  • Establish consistent data collection systems, to use for measuring, analyzing and creating reports on academic, social and behavioral performance.
  • Participate in Child Study meetings, IEP reviews, Behavior Support planning and parent clinics, whenever needed.
  • Provide expert supervision to staff on an individual or group level, based on ongoing and current knowledge of theory, research and best practices in the field of developmental disabilities and autism spectrum disorders.
  • Lead Functional Analysis processes as required.
  • Willing to travel to school sites on a regular basis.
