About The Position

Needham Public Schools is seeking an energetic, skilled, and warm Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to join their inclusive, dynamic, and multicultural community. The BCBA will support students in inclusion classrooms and other programs, providing consultation to special education teachers, general education teachers, teaching assistants, related services providers, and parents. This METCO district serves approximately 5,500 students across 5 elementary schools, 2 middle schools, and 1 high school, with a strong commitment to addressing equity by improving academic performance for historically marginalized students and ensuring schools are safe and free of bias.

Requirements

  • Certified in Massachusetts as a Board Certified Behavioral Analyst
  • Master's Degree
  • At least 3 years working with students with Autism Spectrum Disorder

Responsibilities

  • Support the Connections Program
  • Build program capacity throughout the district as required and/or support and/or consult with students and staff as required
  • Training of staff
  • Provide professional development for Professional Development days and Early Release days
  • Educate and work with general education staff and teaching assistants
  • Complete Functional Behavioral Assessments and Behavior Intervention Plans for students in order to improve student’s challenging behaviors
  • Attend IEP meetings
  • Support staff with data collection and using data to drive instruction and programming for individual students
  • Support staff on skill development for individual students
  • Plan with staff for successful socialization and inclusion within regular education settings and with typically developing peers
  • Any other duties for responsibilities as determined by the Director of Special Education and building Special Education Coordinator

Benefits

  • Salary is determined by education and experience, ranging from Bachelor’s (Step 1) $63,217 to Doctorate (Step 14) $133,922 (This range is based on a 1.0 FTE).
