About The Position

Success On The Spectrum is a national Autism Treatment franchise dedicated to quality, offering ABA, ST, OT, and Social Skills Classes in nautical centers, in-home, and in-school. Our play-based model emphasizes Natural Environment Training (NET), including monthly field trips. We encourage high parent involvement with live viewing of therapy sessions. Success On The Spectrum provides free supervision and hands-on training to individuals enrolled in a Board Certified Behavior Analyst program and is an approved practicum site for many universities, offering college tuition discounts to employees. We are seeking an organized, energetic BCBA Intern for full-time employment to fulfill required intern hours. Our paid internship program fosters excellence, accountability, and critical thinking. Interns will be trained and supervised by BCBAs, with a strong emphasis on attention to detail for adhering to service schedules and documenting services. Upon graduation, there are opportunities to remain with SOS as a BCBA, with potential for opening a franchise. We also offer a student loan tuition reimbursement program and franchise transfer options.

Requirements

  • Must be enrolled in a Masters program leading toward certification in behavior analysis.
  • Minimum of Bachelor’s degree.
  • No criminal background.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Able to lift at least 40 pounds, sit on the floor, and be physically active.

Responsibilities

  • Provide early intervention therapy in a center-based setting.
  • Create individualized, research-based client programs under the direction of the BCBA.
  • Analyze client progress and update programs as needed.
  • Conduct weekly parent training meetings and progress updates with guidance from the BCBA.
  • Supervise a team of RBTs.
  • Attend weekly staff meetings and quarterly in-service trainings.
  • Handle insurance correspondence, including pre-authorization requests.
  • Directly implement individualized treatment plans under the direction of the BCBA.
  • Record client responses into the Central Reach program.
  • Convert appointments into billing.
  • Assist with patient assessments and reassessments for assigned caseload (VBMAPP, ABLLS, AFLS, Socially Savvy, ABAS-3, Vineland) under the supervision of the BCBA.
  • Assist in updates to patient treatment plans, including formal reports, intervention plans, and teaching instructions, under the direct supervision of the BCBA.
  • Assist in training and supervision of behavior technicians, including formal evaluations, feedback, and disciplinary actions.
  • Attend bi-weekly ABA Staff Meetings and assist BCBA in delivering patient updates.
  • Gather data to provide feedback on staff trial counts, IOA, and other reports to measure treatment fidelity.
  • Conduct direct therapy, model techniques, and support behavior technicians to achieve optimal expectations of direct treatment.
  • Maintain and organize patient materials necessary for therapy treatment.
  • Monitor parent training goals to ensure parent involvement and skill generalization, including printing and logging parent participation.
  • Probe targets and future programs of clients.
  • Provide feedback and modeling to promote a positive work environment for all staff.
  • Complete other projects and duties as assigned.
  • Write detailed SOAP notes.
  • Attend quarterly in-service trainings and team bonding activities.
  • Perform general end-of-day cleaning duties.
