FirstSteps for Kids, Inc.Walnut Creek, CA
$85,000 - $95,000Hybrid

About The Position

FirstSteps is seeking a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to join their team as a Program Director. This is a hands-on clinical role for BCBAs who are inspired by children, understand the importance of purpose-driven, individualized treatment plans, and enjoy mentoring teams. The role emphasizes direct client interaction, observing sessions, coaching Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) in real time, and collaborating closely with families and clinical partners. Unlike other positions, FirstSteps aims to protect the kind of work that many BCBAs initially entered the field for, focusing on knowing clients, supporting teams, and seeing learning happen in real time. Program Directors at FirstSteps maintain manageable caseloads and a strong center-based presence, prioritizing thoughtful supervision and meaningful care over oversized caseloads or supervision done entirely through telehealth. The clients served are primarily children ages 2–12, and services are provided at the Walnut Creek center, as well as in homes and schools.
