About The Position

Benchmark Human Services is seeking a dedicated and experienced Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to provide clinical oversight and behavioral support services within small residential Behavior Support Group Homes serving individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, and co-occurring behavioral health needs. The BCBA will lead the development and implementation of evidence-based behavior interventions designed to improve adaptive functioning, reduce challenging behaviors, and enhance quality of life in a home-based setting. This position is based in a residential group home setting and supports individuals with varying behavioral, emotional, and support needs, including situations that may require implementation of approved behavioral intervention strategies. The BCBA will provide clinical guidance, staff training, and in-the-moment coaching to support effective and person-centered behavioral services in accordance with organizational policies and best practices.

Requirements

Current Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification
Master’s degree in applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Education, or related field
Minimum of 2 years of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or severe maladaptive behaviors
Experience supervising behavioral staff and implementing ABA programs
Knowledge of residential/group home behavioral support systems
Valid Arizona driver’s license and reliable transportation
Ability to obtain Arizona Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card
Ability to obtain CPR/First Aid certification
Ability to obtain Article 9 training

Responsibilities

Conduct functional behavior assessments (FBAs) and skills assessments
Design, implement, and supervise individualized Behavior Support Plans (BSPs)
Provide ongoing clinical supervision and behavioral consultation to residential staff
Train direct support professionals (DSPs) in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles, behavior reduction procedures, data collection, and crisis response strategies
Analyze behavioral data and adjust interventions based on client progress
Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings with guardians, care managers, psychiatrists, nurses, program staff, and therapists
Ensure compliance with Arizona Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD), AHCCCS, and Medicaid documentation requirements
Provide support during behavioral crises and develop proactive prevention strategies
Maintain accurate treatment records, progress notes, and clinical reports
Promote person-centered, trauma-informed care practices
