About The Position

The supervising BCBA provides specialized behavior intervention services via clinical direction, supervision of RBTs, BCaBAs, and/or BCBAs, and general case management, which is within his/her scope of experience and competence. BCBAs at MATS are autonomous practitioners who lead individualized ABA programs and serve as the clinical backbone of our client care model.

Requirements

  • Master's or Doctoral degree in Psychology, Education, or a related field with a focus on Applied Behavior Analysis
  • Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification — active and in good standing with the BACB
  • Georgia state licensure as a Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA) or eligibility to obtain prior to start
  • CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire)
  • SafetyCare certification (training provided by MATS)
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
  • Experience supervising RBTs, BTs, and/or BCaBAs
  • Experience conducting skills-based assessments (VB-MAPP, ABLLS-R, AFLS, Vineland, PDDBI, etc.)
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, speech therapists, occupational therapists, and families

  • Proficiency with CentralReach or similar ABA practice management software preferred

Responsibilities

  • Conduct initial assessments for clients using MATS-approved curriculum and tools (VB-MAPP, ABLLS-R, AFLS, PDDBI, Vineland, etc.)
  • Implement the appropriate assessment tool based on each client's needs or insurance requirements prior to individual deadlines
  • Create individualized skill-acquisition and behavior reduction programs and strategies
  • Complete Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and develop corresponding Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs)
  • Conduct client re-assessments when clinically indicated or as required by payer/insurance
  • Analyze client data and make necessary program modifications based on data-driven decision making
  • Develop and supervise individualized ABA programs for clients in clinic, home, and community settings
  • Supervise and evaluate the performance of RBTs and BTs to ensure proper implementation of treatment plans; provide training and guidance as needed
  • Supervise BTs, BCaBAs, and BCBA candidates in accordance with BACB supervision standards
  • Model implementation of treatment for BCaBAs and RBTs
  • Provide exemplary leadership through hands-on training and modeling of ethical conduct
  • Evaluate staff performance and deliver timely, constructive written and verbal feedback
  • Perform 1:1 and group meetings with staff to keep them informed and goal-oriented
  • Lead, supervise, and mentor the clinical team of Behavior Technicians
  • Review all session notes and data taken by BTs to monitor client progress and BT proficiency
  • Maintain a caseload of approximately 6–8 clients based on the mix of full-time and part-time clients
  • Update and maintain appropriate programming for all clients on caseload
  • Provide field supervision for clients as required by the treatment plan
  • Review clinical documentation and data collection; provide feedback as needed
  • Facilitate team meetings and collaborate with parents, team members, and outside professionals to ensure optimal client progress
  • Maintain a positive working relationship with each client's family and respond to guardian questions in a timely and professional manner
  • Provide parent training, resources, and guidance to ensure the highest quality of care
  • Participate in interdisciplinary collaboration and meetings with educators, speech therapists, and occupational therapists
  • Conduct regular family/caregiver training sessions in natural environment settings
  • Coordinate with families, schools, and community providers to promote consistency across all settings
  • Complete progress reports in accordance with structured MATS deadlines
  • Submit all billing-ready session notes daily
  • Maintain a minimum of 25 billable hours per week
  • Ensure no services are rendered without an active, valid authorization on file
  • Monitor authorization utilization and communicate proactively with the Operations Manager and Intake Coordinator
  • Review and resolve ClaimsCheck AI billing audit flags within 24 hours
