Experienced BMW Technician
About The Position
Responsible for identifying necessary vehicle service and performing the repair, service, and/or maintenance work. This role involves examining customer vehicles, identifying necessary repairs and maintenance, estimating costs, performing repairs, documenting services, and ensuring efficient and guideline-compliant work. The technician will also be responsible for requesting necessary parts, utilizing technology to enhance customer experience, maintaining customer satisfaction scores, keeping a clean and safe work area, participating in training, accurately recording work hours, and adhering to all safety and company policies.
Requirements
- High School Diploma
- Automotive field of study/work experience
- 5+ years of desired work experience
- Thorough knowledge of automotive parts and systems.
- Demonstrable mechanical skills and knowledge.
- Technical training or commensurate technical experience required.
- Valid Driver’s License
- Certified/senior technician with respective manufacturer.
- State inspection/emissions license required by State.
- All required manufacturer fundamental training and/or NAPA training provided by HAG.
- Meets and/or exceeds manufacturer requirements for ASE tests.
- Completed manufacturer training to perform: warranty repairs/recalls on most vehicles, PDI’s, maintenance, and minor repairs.
- Basic Computer skills to utilize timekeeping system.
- Ability to learn parts department computer inventory and ordering system.
- Ability to understand and follow instructions.
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers and company personnel.
- Regular and predictable attendance.
- Scheduled shifts may include evening hours, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to lift up to (50) pounds.
- Regularly required to talk and hear; stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions.
- Ability to deal with standardized situations.
