This role involves responding to service calls to evaluate, diagnose, and perform repair and planned maintenance (PM) on customers' basic biomedical equipment. The goal is to drive customer satisfaction through service excellence. Under supervision, you will evaluate basic customer biomedical equipment issues, implement appropriate repairs, and perform PM and safety/environmental inspections. You may assist more experienced technicians on basic and more complex repairs. Effective communication and partnership with teammates and colleagues are essential. You will follow appropriate GE policies, procedures, hospital protocol, and complete necessary documentation. Daily communication with customers is required to ensure resolution and proper follow-up, leading to strong customer relations and ongoing customer satisfaction. As instructed, you will implement GE/customer facility contracts and support business goals/objectives. You will work as a member of a local team to provide efficient service delivery to all accounts within the assigned area. When trained, you will be able to share on-call responsibility. You will document all repair actions and submit reports/summaries according to schedule. Proper care of spares, tools, and test equipment, and ensuring calibration are also key responsibilities. You will enhance and maintain technical knowledge of current standards, codes, and procedures regarding the safe and effective use of medical equipment through formal instruction. Understanding and utilizing sources of help (i.e., manuals, tech support, Facetime app, online resources) is important when performing PM. You must meet Health and Human Services, Environment Health and Safety requirements, and all other applicable regulatory requirements.
