About The Position

HX5 is currently seeking a BMC Remedy Application Development, Principal to support the HNI Division at Hanscom Air Force Base, MA. This role involves integrating BMC products with each other and third-party applications, customizing applications beyond standard configurations, and delivering technical presentations. The Principal will participate in requirements gathering, document and implement technical solutions, and possess a deep understanding of Remedy foundation data for optimal implementation and daily operations. The position also requires implementing ITIL best practices for IT operations and Business Service Management, defining and delivering system specifications, user guides, and architecture documentation. Responsibilities include programming, testing, documenting, and implementing systems/software, and validating their efficacy before production release. The role involves analyzing work and customer problems, providing recommendations, and assessing risks. Additionally, the candidate will need knowledge of AF RMF to provide artifacts and system remediation for Authority to Operate, and articulate best business practices for system application and architecture as EITSM migrates to new versions.

Requirements

Fifteen (15) years of BMC Consulting and IT Service Management
ITSM Certifications required
BMC Certified Professional - The BMC Certified Professional level verifies all required skills to deploy, operate, and troubleshoot our products.
BMC Certified Professional - The BMC Certified Associate levels validate the knowledge and skills needed apply best practices on BMC solutions.
ITIL v3 Foundations
BMC Remedy IT Service Management 7.x: Advanced Solutions for Incident and Problem Management or higher
BMC Remedy IT Service Management 7.x: Advanced Solutions for Asset Management and Discovery or higher
SolarWinds SME who can work with all modules of SolarWinds.
Proof of U.S. Citizenship or US Permanent Residency is a requirement for this position.
Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation.
Must be able to obtain a Secret clearance by date of hire.
Must be able to travel, including air travel.

Responsibilities

Integrate BMC products to each other and third-party applications.
Customize Application beyond the “Out of the Box” Configuration.
Deliver technical presentations as required to support technical tasks and communicate the solution (i.e., WebEx, conference calls, etc.)
Participates in requirements able to document and implement technical, configuration or customizations to meet requirements.
Have a detailed understanding of Remedy foundation data for proper implementation and day to day operations.
Implement best business practices for IT operations, Business Service Management and foundational level of IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL).
Defines, writes, and delivers specifications, user guides, and architecture and methodology as appropriate to meet project deadlines.
Programs, tests, documents, and implements systems and/or software and validates efficacy prior to release to production environment.
Analyzes routine to moderately complex work and customer problems, issues, and circumstances and provides recommendations, alternatives, and risk assessments.
Have knowledge of AF RMF and be able to provide artifacts, system remediation to support AF Authority to Operate
Articulate Best business practices and streamline system application and architecture as (EITSM) migrates to new versions
