About The Position

The Bluestem Program will be the only treatment program in the nation where a person misusing substances, their partner, and their children receive holistic, full-family care in a home that’s all theirs. It’s a safe alternative to foster care that aims to end the cycle of addiction across generations. This is an awake overnight position.

Requirements

Be reliable and self-motivated
Recognize the importance of social systems and a person’s ecology on their development and behaviors
Have a passion for engaging persons with substance use disorders, their children, and their support systems to address individual, family, and community wellbeing.
Be comfortable working in a residential setting
BSW or other Bachelor’s degree (Human Services, Counseling, Psychology, etc), or equivalent experience

Responsibilities

Ensuring the safety of the family and children through supervision and crisis intervention when necessary
Building community resources to help sustain families
Maintain safety and supervision of the Bluestem property
Provide trauma-informed care to all family members
