About The Position

This is a contract role for a Blue Yonder (JDA) Solution Architect specializing in Logistics & Supply Chain Solutions. The position requires significant travel and is a 6+ month contract with the possibility of extension. The architect will be responsible for the end-to-end solution architecture, including process design, configuration, integrations, reporting, and data migration. They will develop scalable solution blueprints, present recommendations to stakeholders, and lead discovery workshops. The role involves designing integrations with various enterprise systems and providing leadership on Blue Yonder solutions across different logistics functions. Quality, governance, delivery, stakeholder management, and team leadership are also key aspects of this position.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of Blue Yonder (JDA) consulting and solution delivery experience.
  • Minimum 3–5 end-to-end Blue Yonder implementation projects as a Solution Architect or Senior Functional Consultant.
  • Deep expertise in Blue Yonder Enterprise Service Platform (ESP) and Order Promising (OP).
  • Strong experience designing integrations with SAP, Oracle, EDI, OMS, WCS, and carrier management platforms.
  • Proven ability to conduct discovery workshops, perform system analysis, and create comprehensive functional and technical specifications.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience supporting semiconductor manufacturing or high-tech product organizations.
  • Hands-on experience with Blue Yonder Inbound Operations, Outbound Logistics, Warehouse Management, Order Promising (OP), and Warehouse Execution Systems (WES).
  • Knowledge of freight settlement, carrier management, and transportation operations.
  • Experience with Supply Chain Control Towers and visibility platforms.
  • Background mentoring implementation teams and driving knowledge transfer in large-scale programs.

Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end solution architecture including process design, configuration, integrations, reporting, and data migration.
  • Develop scalable solution blueprints aligned with business objectives and industry best practices.
  • Present architecture options, trade-offs, and strategic recommendations to business and technology stakeholders.
  • Lead discovery workshops and requirement gathering sessions.
  • Translate business requirements into detailed functional and technical solution designs.
  • Define implementation roadmaps and ensure alignment with enterprise architecture standards.
  • Design and oversee integrations between Blue Yonder and enterprise systems, including SAP and Oracle ERP platforms, EDI solutions, Order Management Systems (OMS), Warehouse Control Systems (WCS), Carrier Management Platforms, and Supply Chain Visibility Solutions.
  • Provide architecture and configuration guidance across Inbound Logistics, Outbound Logistics, Warehouse Operations, Order Promising (OP), Freight Settlement, and Warehouse Execution Systems (WES).
  • Define non-functional requirements including scalability, performance, security, monitoring, and resiliency.
  • Lead SIT and UAT strategy, defect triage, and production readiness activities.
  • Ensure solution quality through governance reviews, stakeholder approvals, and best-practice implementation standards.
  • Partner closely with business leaders, product owners, technical teams, and executive stakeholders.
  • Manage project risks, dependencies, scope, and release readiness activities.
  • Provide executive-level communication and status reporting.
  • Mentor consultants, architects, and implementation teams.
  • Lead knowledge transfer sessions and establish long-term solution governance practices.
  • Support project teams through architecture reviews and solution decision-making.
