At Blue Origin, we envision millions of people living and working in space for the benefit of Earth. We’re working to develop reusable, safe, and low-cost space vehicles and systems within a culture of safety, collaboration, and inclusion. Join our team of problem solvers as we add new chapters to the history of spaceflight! The role is part of the In-Space Systems business unit, which is focused on addressing two of the most compelling challenges in spaceflight today: space infrastructure and increasing mobility on-orbit. As a Systems Engineer on a hardworking team of specialists, technicians, and engineers, you will function as a Systems Architect within the Mission Systems Engineering, Integration & Test organization, working closely with other system, software, hardware and integration & test engineers to optimize the System Architecture baseline for unique Blue Ring Spacecraft missions and customer needs. This position reports to the Mission SEIT Requirements, Verification & Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) Architecture Director for the space mobility product line. You will work at a spacecraft mission & system level with a focus on using modern MBSE and System Architecture standards and frameworks to capture Blue Ring architectural product line variants, including all critical spacecraft bus, ground system and payload requirements and interfaces, in a model-based environment in support of maturing the Blue Ring Digital Thread. This role will begin with a first-of-its-kind space vehicle in development and grow with the product line through multiple missions and objectives.
