About The Position

The BLS Educator provides instruction and education to students, parents, and the community. The educator teaches according to the required curriculum, observes learners during practice, gives positive or corrective feedback, and guides them as they acquire skills. The role also tests competency and provides remediation when needed.

The BLS Educator collaborates on educational programs that meet Virtua’s needs and assists in evaluating existing materials and programs to support high-quality education.

Requirements

• High school graduate.
• Current EMT certification in the State of New Jersey and eligibility to teach the specified curriculum.
• Appropriate instructor certification.
• Evidence of good organizational and communication skills.
• Proficiency in presentation techniques and good human relations skills.
• Knowledge of adult learning and group dynamics.

Responsibilities
