The Blowmold Operator will understand the blow molding “Sequence of Operation” and operate all equipment in the blow mold area. This role involves performing CIP and housekeeping duties, conducting quality checks, and executing PM and maintenance activities. The operator will safely operate a forklift for various tasks, including loading the Tipper, retrieving chemicals, and moving materials. Proficiency in understanding, monitoring, and acknowledging machine malfunction alarms, along with the ability to manage solutions efficiently, is crucial. The role requires accessing machine reports, alarm logs, and system monitoring pagers from machine control panels. The operator will properly set up machines for different packages, bottle types, resins, lines, and suppliers, and assist maintenance technicians with corrective and preventative actions. Maintaining accurate records and logs, working with cross-departmental personnel to problem-solve for maximum production efficiency, and assisting with equipment audits and overhauls are key responsibilities. This position is also a primary trainer for new employees and a critical communication hub between Blow Mold Techs, shifts, management, and other departments. The operator will work closely with the Blow Mold Manager to determine daily and long-term goals and priorities. They will also be a key person for establishing new processes and writing SOPs, SPLs, and other documents. Compliance with all standard safety rules, practices, and policies is mandatory. Assisting with setting up new bottles, packages, vendors, resins, lines, etc., is also part of the role.
