Requirements

High School Diploma or GED.
Must be able to work shift schedule, holidays and overtime
Organization: Must have sound organizational skills in order to process job related data and in relation to work area materials.
Communication: Ability to provide relevant and timely information in a clear manner.

Responsibilities

Supervises the personnel and activities on all shifts in order to achieve or exceed determined standards for the Still Yard.
Assigns and maintains workflow, checks progress and quality of work, maintain daily schedules for Lab Techs and Stillmen.
Verifying accuracy of work and timecard information and recording overtime work.
Coordinates activities with any related departments; determines that proper quality control procedures are being followed.
Responsible for maintaining good housekeeping and maintaining safe work practices and conditions.
Recommends purchase of necessary supplies; equipment, materials, etc. initiates purchase requisitions.
Prepares and maintains Still Yard reports and records.
Makes suggestions as to improve methods of production, cost savings, etc.
Responsible for various other functions such as assisting in taking periodic physical inventory.
Constant surveillance of Still Yard and equipment, and other duties determined by the Blow Still Manager.
Responsible for following all plant rules of conduct and safety rules including all safety Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements.
Responsible for the continuous safe operation of the Blow Still and Related Equipment.
Perform minor maintenance on Blow Still equipment.
Intricate understanding of the Asphalt heater, of process equipment, which includes control system, blow stills, knock out tank, thermal-oxidizer, waste heat boiler.
Intricate understanding of condensate receiver system, DA, Steam heat trace system, #1 and #3 boiler and water softener blowers.
Perform required quality tests on coating and work closely with Lab Technicians to ensure Quality tests are being done and within specifications.
Responsible to report all maintenance related items to Maintenance and utilize the Work Order system.
Continually monitor conditions in the Blow Still to ensure upset conditions do not occur. This includes but is not limited to machinery, temperature, steam, air and boiler operations.
Safely and proficiently perform the process of converting flux into coating (blowing).
Minimal travel requirements as needed for training, etc, as determined by Manager.
All other responsibilities as assigned by Manager.
