This is a fulltime onsite position with an expected schedule of: Sunday - Thursday, 10 pm - 6:30 a.m. (ending Friday morning), overtime may be required. The expected hourly range for this position is $18-$20, depending on experience and qualifications.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in high-speed manufacturing environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience with blow mold manufacturing industry.
  • Strong communication skills at all levels providing timely and concise information.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong knowledge of lean, six sigma tools and problem-solving methodology.
  • Must be able to make quick decisions as necessary to plant productions standards.
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds safely.
  • Must be able to (1) operate a pallet jack as needed, (2) be mechanically inclined, (3) willing to work overtime and weekends when required, and (4) be able to work with others in a team environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Uniloy and/or Graham wheel blow molder is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Operate, adjust, and maintain machines to ensure consistent bottle production.
  • Visually observes product for acceptable quality for such items as bottle weight, bottle profile, case printing, color compared to standards, case dimensions, glue pattern, label placement, code dates and bottle appearance.
  • Maintain an organized work area within the Blow Mold department to support timely completion of production orders.
  • Ensure effective communication with your Lead throughout the shift; report any issues promptly, and if they cannot be resolved, escalate to a manager.
  • Ensure assigned tasks are completed timely, correctly, safely and to the highest quality standard.
  • Comply with all plant safety, quality, GMPs, current standard practices, and all other plant rules, policies, and procedures, including proper use of PPE in this safety-sensitive role.
  • Load corrugates into bliss hopper.
  • Perform changeovers in a timely manner.
  • Evaluate machine breakdowns and collaborate with maintenance personnel to ensure timely repairs. Employees may perform minor repairs, adjustments, or maintenance on equipment only if trained and authorized by management or supervisors and provided it does not compromise safety or quality.
  • Actively participate in area Preventative Maintenance and 5S activities.
  • Other functions as assigned based on business needs.
