About The Position
Absolutely Beautiful Flowers, a Premier Florist in downtown St. Petersburg and recognized as one of the Top 100 Florists in the USA, is seeking a confident, organized, and service-minded Blooming Lead to help guide their retail and office operations. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys supporting a team, maintaining high standards, and ensuring daily operations flow smoothly. The role involves shaping the customer experience while upholding the brand's quality and presentation. The position requires flexibility, including weekend availability, as the business operates seven days a week. It is a creative, fast-paced environment where attentiveness and engagement throughout the workday are valued.
Requirements
- 2+ years retail experience (floral preferred)
- Leadership or key-holder experience
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Comfort with POS systems and basic office tools
- Ability to stay composed in a fast-paced setting
- Consistent availability, including weekends
- No allergies to floral materials
- A genuine appreciation for flowers and design
Responsibilities
- Lead daily retail and administrative operations
- Mentor, train, and support team members
- Oversee inventory, ordering, and product care
- Ensure an exceptional customer experience
- Support visual presentation and merchandising
- Coordinate order fulfillment and delivery logistics
- Assist with payroll preparation (staff & contract drivers)
- Manage team and contractor scheduling
