About The Position
Bloodworks Northwest is seeking a detail-oriented Blood Component Manufacturing Tech I to perform a wide variety of detailed, sequential tasks according to standard operating procedures. This role is responsible for the production and final labeling of blood components in a highly regulated and team-oriented environment. The incumbent will prepare, document, evaluate, quarantine/segregate, perform routine labeling of, and package and create transfer records for blood and blood components. Additionally, the role involves operating and maintaining equipment used in the processing and labeling of blood components.
Requirements
- Meet CLIA requirements for moderate complexity testing.
- High school diploma or equivalent and training for the testing performed.
- Two years of post-secondary education, or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
- One year of experience in a regulated or high-volume production environment, OR one year of blood-banking or pharmaceutical experience, OR one year of work experience in an environment requiring significant multitasking.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, document, evaluate, quarantine/segregate, perform routine labeling of, and package and create transfer records for blood and blood components according to standard operating procedures.
- Operate and maintain equipment used in the processing and labeling of blood components.
- Adhere to a series of complex process steps involving interaction with multiple computer systems and physical handling of inventory.
- Work effectively in a team-oriented environment and with staff from other departments.
- Lift and carry up to 35 pounds.
