Requirements

  • A high school diploma or GED
  • Customer service experience and effective verbal communication skills
  • A current, valid driver’s license with a good driving record; reliable personal transportation may be required in certain locations
  • Basic computer skills required; proficiency with Microsoft Office applications required.
  • Lifting, pushing, or pulling heavy weights up and down ramps and stairs
  • Good manual dexterity
  • Sitting or standing for long periods of time
  • Adapting to long, irregular hours and frequent schedule changes
  • A minimum height of 60 inches (required to safely operate Red Cross vehicles)

Nice To Haves

  • Prior healthcare or phlebotomy experience (CNA, MA, EMT, etc.)
  • Prior leadership experience
  • Retail, hospitality, food service, military service, or other people-focused roles

Responsibilities

  • Transport and set up equipment to turn everyday spaces into professional donation centers.
  • All staff work as a team to set up and tear down the equipment required to conduct a mobile blood drive.
  • Welcome donors, listen to their stories, and help them feel comfortable and valued.
  • Perform safe, high-quality blood collections once fully trained in phlebotomy techniques.
  • Follow all safety procedures and regulatory requirements to ensure every donation meets quality standards and can be safely transfused.
  • Leave each site knowing the blood collected today could reach a patient within days.
