About The Position

Perform laboratory tests and procedures on blood and blood products as prescribed by physicians. Work with the latest technology and a top-notch interdisciplinary team to help support patients and the community. Perform crossmatches, process and test blood products, manage inventory and replace blood products from suppliers. The work you will be doing makes a tremendous impact!

Requirements

• Ability to distinguish color differences
• Ability to troubleshoot instrument problems
• Bachelor's Degree is required.
• Graduation from an approved Clinical Laboratory Scientist program or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.
• Associates Degree or equivalent education may be acceptable provided it meets the grandfather clause set forth by CLIA.

Nice To Haves

• Previous Clinical Laboratory Scientist experience is preferred
• Previous laboratory computer system experience preferred
• MT (ASCP) or equivalent certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Specimen processing, test performance, and reporting of test results.
