About The Position
This position is eligible for a 7500 Sign On Bonus! Make an Impact! Be a part of a team that performs laboratory tests and procedures on blood and blood products as prescribed by physicians. As a Blood Bank Technologist, you will perform crossmatches, processes and tests blood products, manage inventory and replace blood products from suppliers. Position: Blood Bank Technologist – 3p-11:30p- 1x4 weekend Sat and Sun- training is 8-10 weeks- must pass competency test. Training may take place on day shift.
Requirements
- Skills necessary to perform procedures in the Laboratory Procedures manual include specimen processing, test performance, and reporting of test results.
- Ability to distinguish color differences
- Ability to troubleshoot instrument problems
Nice To Haves
- Previous Clinical Laboratory Scientist experience is preferred
- Previous laboratory computer system experience preferred
- MT (ASCP) or equivalent certification preferred
