About The Position

ADESA, a Carvana owned company, is seeking a Part-Time Block Clerk to join their team. This role is responsible for entering sale information for in-lane and/or on-line LiveBlock transactions, ensuring efficient and accurate data transfer into the computer system. The Block Clerk will also handle corrections, maintain customer service standards, and communicate effectively with auctioneers and dealer representatives. Requirements

  • One (1) year of clerical experience with basic computer skills and data entry skills required.
  • Accurate typing skills and ability to multitask.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.

Nice To Haves

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer service, ensuring prompt, efficient, and courteous attention to customers.
  • Maintain a professional appearance, orderly work environment, and friendly disposition.
  • Resolve customer complaints in a friendly, courteous manner and advise Management of serious issues.
  • Review pre-populated AMS data and enter any missing or modified announcements.
  • Enter sale data into the LiveBlock system by listening to the Auctioneer and watching monitors for internet bids.
  • Ensure accurate recording of sale price and bidder numbers.
  • Document any corrections on the appropriate form when an error is made and submit to Management.
  • Maintain a good flow of communication with the auctioneer and dealer representative.
  • Attend weekly/monthly informational meetings to stay updated on operating systems, policies, or procedures.
  • Monitor working area conditions and equipment for cleanliness, proper maintenance, and safety, advising Facilities of any needs.
  • Respond to and follow proper procedures for employee and customer accidents, injuries, and property damage/loss.
