About The Position

SRM Materials is seeking a skilled Class A CDL Operator to safely transport Block from the plant to customers and/or jobsites. This role is vital in keeping operations running smoothly and requires a safety-focused, dependable professional committed to safety, service, and teamwork.

Requirements

Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
Current DOT Medical Card.
Minimum of 2 years’ proven experience driving Class A truck.
Clean driving record with no serious tickets or accidents in the last 5 years.
Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards for material transport.
Physical ability to lift up to 100 pounds and perform tasks involving bending, lifting, and climbing.
Excellent time management skills to meet delivery schedules.
Good communication and interpersonal skills for working with plant personnel and customers.
Willingness to undergo SRM’s pre-employment screenings.

Responsibilities

Safely operate a Class A truck, transporting Block from the plant to offsite locations.
Ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
Accurately complete and maintain logbooks, delivery documentation, and other required paperwork in line with company policies and DOT regulations.
Communicate proactively with dispatch to receive delivery instructions and provide updates on route progress.
Ensure secure loading and unloading of cement, preventing spillage or contamination.
Follow established routes, schedules, and safety procedures for transporting materials.
Provide exceptional customer service at delivery sites, representing SRM Concrete with professionalism.
Promptly report any vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or vehicle damage.
Stay current on safety regulations, company policies, and industry best practices.
