About The Position

The Blending Technician I is responsible for blending raw material products according to production batch records. This role involves following mixing instructions, visually checking materials, entering lot numbers and quantities, and recording blending times. The technician must adhere to GMP and HAACP guidelines for food safety and complete batch sheets according to Good Documentation Practices (GDPs). They will also follow department SOPs/Forms, support housekeeping efforts, and help maintain a safe working environment by complying with regulations. Operation of standard warehouse equipment, including manual and electric pallet jacks, pallet wrappers, sit-down forklifts, and stand-up reach trucks, is required, along with adherence to OSHA regulations. The position requires being a team player willing to work in a fast-paced environment and performing additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to read and write in English.
• Solid math skills with the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure.
• Thorough understanding of OSHA requirements and safety standards for operating material handling.
• Able to work effectively in a team environment and independently.
• Able to walk and stand on a constant basis (up to 8 hours per shift).
• Able to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis (3 to 6 hours per shift).
• Able to sit, squat, stoop, climb, kneel, and crawl on an occasional basis (up to 3 hours per shift).
• Able to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), RedZone Operations Software and handheld devices (RF) a plus.
• Prior manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Blend raw material products according to production batch records.

• Help maintain a safe working environment by complying with company and state regulations.
• Operate standard warehouse equipment (manual and electric pallet jacks, pallet wrapper, sit-down forklifts, stand-up reach trucks) while abiding by OSHA warehouse equipment regulations and guidelines.
• Be a team player who is willing to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
